I'm fighting for dirty sheets

I think we need something light, and I want to share more of my new city adventures.

So boom, I'm at this Laundromat, listening to The Receipts podcast (cuz I'm determined to be a London babe) minding my business.

PAUSE I need to tell ya'll whyyyy I was at the laundry mat. When I moved into my flat it wasn't up to my standards. I opened my washing machine and all I see is a circle of mildew, then I got hit in the face with such a stench. I reported it to my property manager and they had the audacity to tell me to rinse with vinegar and lemon 😒. I don't pay these 🅿️'s to be Bob the builder and Martin the maintenance man. Run me a brand new washing machine! It took two months for me to get a new washer after several threats, so alas I had to go to a laundromat to clean my clothes

While I'm listening to my podcast a sweet lady starts chatting me up complaining about the washer her blanket is in. I tried ignoring her, but she didn't care about the AirPods in my ear and kept chatting. After a few minutes, I'm invested because her washer keeps stopping mid-wash and the laundromat team is being really rude to her. The workers are saying her blanket is so dirty that it's creating a blockage in the machine. So I and another dude start ganging up on the workers. After the verbal WWE smackdown took place, her blanket comes out of the wash - it’s filthy! All the clumps of dirt that were in the washer were from her blanket 🥴 At that moment I remembered my clothes were almost dry and it would be best for me to mind my business. She tried to come back and get me involved in her second wash argument, but I had to pretend I was on a call because I couldn't be involved.

On the same day, I also got bamboozled into buying a £30 plant, I swear she said £13 🙄 I walked in talking s**t to my boyfriend on facetime because I went to another plant shop and sis TRIED IT. Trying to charge me 250 POUNDSSSS FOR A PLANT. Girl you can choke — I also tried to steal a plant after my holiday party but was stopped in my tracks at the door.

Overall, this city is keeping me on my toes.
